Jan Van Woensel is an independent curator and art critic based in Lviv, Ukraine. At the Art Theory department of the Lviv National Academy of Art, he founded the course "curatorial practice & theory (ctp)." In 2025, he co-facilitated the partnership agreement between Kharkiv State Academy of Art and Design, KSADA, and Sint Lucas School of Art Antwerp, SLA. His itinerant project "(post-)System" took place at Mala gallery of Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv) and Municipal Art Center (Lviv) in 2025 and 2026, and was supported by the Minister of Culture of Flanders and the Embassy of Belgium in Ukraine. He is the curator of the traveling exhibition "Echoes of unity" (Italy, Portugal, Poland), with the support of Creative Europe.
