SECONDroom is an artist-run off-space which organizes one-day exhibitions. Christophe Floré initiated the project in 2006 in his private residence in Brussel, where a spare room mutated into an exhibition space. Every Saturday evening, another contemporary artist was invited. The limitation to one single evening gives the exhibition the impact of a special event, but also gives the artist a certain freedom to take risks and sometimes fail. This is still at the core of SECONDroom, a space for experiment and exchange with a focus on artistic freedom, currently located in Antwerp.
