Since 1984, Visser has organised exhibitions and performances in the Netherlands and Belgium with artists such as Ilya Kabakov, Robert Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton, Jan Fabre, Robert Wilson for the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Boymans van Beuningen Rotterdam, among others. For Museum Kunst Palast "The Late Works by Andy Warhol" (2004), Dubuffet and Art Brut, the touring show "Africa Remix" (2005-07), the Caravaggio show (2006) and "Diana+Actaeon". He created "Slow Art / Slow Life" (2005), the exhibition featuring Dutch and Flemish art, bringing together ancient, contemporary and performance art. For the Quadrennial Düsseldorf the international ZERO show (2006). For the City of Venice, he created the concept for the encyclopaedic exhibition "Artempo" (2007) in the Venetian Palazzo Mariano Fortuny with the collection of Axel Vervoordt and the City of Venice. He organised "Bonjour Russia, masterworks from the four Russian Museums" (2007) for the Royal Academy of Arts London. For the Nuit Blanche in Paris, a SKY event with floating sculptures by Otto Piene. For Museum Kunst Palast in 2009, an exhibition with new work by Marlene Dumas. In 2009, he was co-curator for the Moscow Biennale and for the Venice Biennale he commissioned Daniel Birnbaum to create the Gutaigroup exhibition in the central pavilion. His "ZERO in NY" show at the Sperone Westwater Gallery (2008) was nominated by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum NY as best gallery exhibition of the year 2008.
