Lennert van Laenen starts percussion lessons at the age of six with Walter van de Venne. Later, marimba lessons are added, with Chin Cheng Lin. In 2012 Walter takes Lennert to the percussion ensemble the Herleving Brussegem and 3 years later he also starts with Young Brassband Willebroek. In 2019, Lennert gets the chance to play with Brassband Willebroek. A childhood dream come true.
Meanwhile, he writes his first composition: Mitä.
