Jo Caimo (born 1987, Leuven) is an undisciplined artivist, media artist and inventor of objects and instruments. Their work lies at the intersection of performance, music, product design, installation and the digital world. With their objects and instruments they investigate “the collective” versus “the inner”, inviting the viewer to become part of their work.
Jo develops measuring instruments and platforms with which we can better understand unconscious patterns and mechanisms in co-creation processes. Investigating, stimulating and visualizing the energies between people as a collective is the underlying theme.
In addition, Jo is co-initiator of Samenschool and hosts their own residency and workshop for artists, friends and neighbors.
