The Royal Carillon School Jef Denyn, International Institute for Carillon Art, is the first, oldest, and largest carillon school in the world. As part of Belgian carillon culture, this institution is recognized by UNESCO as a 'best safeguarding practice' for intangible cultural heritage. Her Majesty the Queen granted the Carillon School her High Protection, which, after her passing, was continued by H.M. Queen Mathilde.
