Within his artistic practice, Tim Bruggeman maintains a long-term focus on carefully selected image archives. He adopts a dual approach: on the one hand, he immerses himself in themes linked to the archival material and, on the other, he conducts material tests in which he explores the limits of various (re)production techniques. In this way, image and image-carrier presuppose each other and new work emerges where these two lines of inquiry meet. Tim Bruggeman studied visual arts at the KASK, Ghent. In recent years his work has been exhibited at croxhapox (BE), Marres (NL), Dr. Guislain Museum (BE), lxhxb (NL) and Werkplaats Walter (BE), among others.
