Since its première in december 2012, The New Baroque Times is widely considered as one of the finest baroque ensembles in Belgium. Praised by the specialized music press, this Brussels-based group is recognized for its hot-blooded temperament and the high artistic quality of its performances.

The New Baroque Times explores and reinvents the tonal universe of music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, performing on period instruments and employing historical performance practice. Looking to escape the dogmas of “classical” performance and aiming to whet the appetite of today’s general public, secular and sacred repertoire fuel the ensemble’s creation of spectacles combining music, poetry, dance and/or visual arts, bringing together ancient and modern art forms.
