Llogement is an artist-run nonprofit organization with an emphasis on spatial research and the production of the site-specific artwork. Founded in 2005, logement has established an extensive program of exhibitions ans concerts, investigating the relationship between the studio and the exhibitionspace, curating and the role of the artist, space and time.       

By supporting artists whom the artistic work arises from a spatial context, stimulating the spatial research and displaying the newly made artworks, logement is an active and dynamic platform. A migrating organization rather than a regular exhibitionspace, logement devotes its energy to visual and performing artists. During the last three years logement has established 15 editions in various and often unique enviroments and challenging contexts. Every edition of logement is set within a different context and resulting in a visual investigation of various conditions. Underutilized spaces and abandoned spaces together with renomated art institutions become temporarily studios and exhibitionspaces combining the visual arts, music and performances. The shortest organized edition had a duration of a few hours, the longest lasted six months. More than 60 visual artists and 170 performing artists were involved in the making of and several collaborations were set up in the realization of the program.       

Logement is also a platform for action, film and performance linked to spatial research, while maintaining the presentation of the site-specific and integrated artwork. logement aspires to maintain its diverse and innovative approach towards the nature of exhibitions and the dialogue of site specific artworks. It will continue to bring together various artists and their audience in unique spaces and will keep investigating the possibilities of the site specific artwork.
