English:Komplot (Q110916)
Created in Brussels in 2002, Komplot is a curatorial collective whose current members are Heidi Ballet, Véronique Depiesse, Sonia Dermience and Ive Stevenheydens. Komplot is concerned with nomadic creative practices, trends of specialization, survival architectures and the infiltration of private, public and institutional space. The nomadism of Komplot as a platform of variable composition allows it to explore new terrain in relation to objects, spaces, artists and the public. Komplot investigates the concept of collective and collaborative authorship. Research on this topic commenced with a seminar (2005) and led to two full length documentary films /Sad in Country 1 & 2/ (2007/2008), which focuses on Belgian art collectives; both contemporary and historical. The nomadism of Komplot as a platform of variable composition allows it to explore new terrain relating to the relationships between objects/spaces/artists and public. New perspectives are being brought to the organization through a series of artist residencies and exhibitions in a disused garage turned working space in Brussels (Le Garage, 2007/2009), as well as projects outwith Belgium such as **/From Love With Brussels/** in Eindhoven (2008), /Architectures of Survival/ in Zagreb (2007), Berlin, Los Angeles (2008).*.. At the occasion of its residency in Nadine , Komplot started The Public School in Brussels, a new permanent project that originated in Los Angeles at Telic Arts Exchange.
