Kamer XIII wants to promote artists. Through the use of an undergound circuit, we aim to reach the largest possible audience. The large window pane allows for a diverse public to view the works - any passerby can basically see the art on display, any time of the day. Kamer XIII is located in the Ekkergem district, which is not the most obvious place for artistic expression. Artists are therefore forced to work with the specific architecture, raising questions about exhibiting in unusual, atypical spaces. We offer a platform where both visual artists as well as designers, authors and musicians can meet. Apart from the regular program in the space itself, we also organise some extra-muros events where artistic practices and disciplines intersect.
