The "Enghien International Musical Encounters" was instituted in 1991 by Olivier Roberti (Director). He was joined in 1993 by Blanche d'Harcourt (Artistic Director).
With Dr. Pr. Paul von Schilhawsky (Director Mozarteum-Salzburg), whom they met in Salzburg, they created these Master Classes with the aim to establish them in peaceful surroundings where musicians would meet and share their art and emotions with the most prominent Professors.
Most Classes take place at the Château d' Enghien which dates early 1900.
