Christiane Blattmann is a sculptor who lives in Brussels. She completed her studies at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg after an exchange at Goldsmith College in London and UdK in Berlin. In 2021 she was a resident at Fonderia Battaglia, in 2019 at Triangle France-Astérides in Marseille and she held a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2018. She is a founding member of the artist-run publishing house Montez Press and together with Jannis Marwitz she ran the exhibition space Betongalerie in a public sculpture in Hamburg. Her work was exhibited most recently at Damien & The Love Guru (Zurich and Brussels), Kunsthalle Münster, Museum M (Leuven), Nir Altman (Munich), Piktogram (Warsaw), Neuer Essener Kunstverein, Sundy (London) and Ephremidis (Berlin). In 2020, the monograph Un-Break My Walls was published by Mousse Publishing and Kunsthalle Münster. Her work is included in the permanent collections of M Leuven, FRAC Duinkerke and the Collection of the Federal Republic of Germany.
