AntwerpPhoto is an international photo biennale that shows what is going on in the world of photography. With an extensive festival week, numerous summer events and leading exhibitions, AntwerpPhoto inspires and stimulates the visitor to dive into the world of photography and visual culture and to go on a journey of discovery.
The successful first edition in 2018 with the world-renowned photographer Anton Corbijn as the top poster, but also with the now regretted Michael Wolf, with the Prix Carmignac and Iconobelge I, immediately put AntwerpPhoto on the map. As a photo festival and, symbolically in the Loodswezen building, also as a new port for photography in Antwerp. Because the city supports AntwerpPhoto and the festival wants to make Antwerp the photo city of Flanders.
We believe in photography. As language of the future, as language that connects. It is the language of all ages, and it is the language above all languages.
