Boris Charmatz is a French contemporary dancer and choreographer. He is considered one of the "leading figures of the French Nouvelle Vague" and of the non-dance movement that emerged in the mid-1990s.[1] He was director of the National Choreographic Centre of Rennes and Brittany from 2009 to 2018. In 2022, he became director of Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal.
