Altenberg Gallery specializes in contemporary and post-war abstract art. The emphasis is on Belgian artists, but occasionally we also look beyond the borders to, for example, the “Ecole de Paris”. Art from the last century enters into dialogue with new work by contemporary artists, resulting in fascinating interpretations. From lyrical to geometric abstraction to refined monochromy. Altenberg Gallery offers a story in which art explores the deeper layers of life and occasionally reveals a metaphysical dimension.  The gallery is located near the old historic abbey site on the flanks of the "Oudenberg" of Geraardsbergen.
