Auguste Orts is a Brussels-based production and distribution platform founded by artists <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/herman-asselberghs">Herman Asselberghs</a>, <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/sven-augustijnen">Sven Augustijnen</a>, <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/manon-de-boer">Manon de Boer</a> and <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/anouk-de-clercq">Anouk De Clercq</a>. In 2006, these four artists, active primarily in the expanded field of film and video decided to join forces to found the Auguste Orts platform.
Auguste Orts’ artists work in close collaboration with <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/marie-logie">Marie Logie</a>, the organisation’s director, and <a href="https://augusteorts.be/about/pepa-de-maesschalck">Pepa De Maesschalck</a>, business director, to facilitate the production and distribution of their projects.
The expertise is shared through guest productions and put in a discursive context in various ways. In collaboration with Argos & Courtisane, Auguste Orts set up <a href="https://augusteorts.be/activities/dissent">DISSENT!</a>, a series of talks on politics and cinema. And Auguste Orts launched <a href="https://augusteorts.be/activities/on-and-for-production">On & For Production and Distribution</a>, an initiative to facilitate the production of artists’ films on an international level.
