Founded in April 2016 by Dafne Maes and Danaé Bosman, LAP aims to pass on its passion for contemporary dance to diverse audiences (children, youth and families) through artistic performances. LAP introduces audiences to non-verbal body language through artistic performances and projects where performing arts and education are closely related. LAP makes mainly wordless and very physical (dance) performances. For the movement material, LAP combines very recognizable, natural movements with a very abstract movement language.

"LAP vzw guarantees performances that playfully and challengingly respond to the individuality of a young audience" (Villanella).

"LAP makes fresh and contemporary performances and this gives them a unique place within youth dance theater." (Bieke Demeester, De Spil Roeselare). As of 2024, the LAP team consists of the following employees Dafne Maes (artistic and business management), Lara Deruyter (production) and Heleen Haest (administrative support).
