BRANDUNG is the artistic breeding ground for theatre creators Jelle Marteel and Philippe Annaert. They met during their theatre studies at KASK Ghent, where they graduated in 2017 with a master's degree in drama. In 2010 they decided to bundle their artistic powers into a professional collective that would provide a creative platform for the stories they wanted to tell and the ideas they wanted to develop. 

BRANDUNG as a concept refers to the turbulent and arbitraty crashing of waves against rocks. It is precisely that rugged and capricious intensity, but also the imaginative aesthetics of this natural phenomenon that shines through in BRANDUNG's stories.
