Every summer, the Watou Arts Festival sets up shop in an art village of the same name just past Poperinge, close to the French border. Poets and visual artists, up-and-coming talent and established names, from Belgium and abroad, provide a wonderful experience each time in exhibition venues full of character: an abandoned mansion, the cellar of a brewery,... A unique artistic experience arises from the combination of visual art and poetry in these surprising spaces full of character.
